ThruYou

Every once in a while you stumble across something that really makes you stop and stare-- something totally creative and remarkable and just plain... awesome.

ThruYou is one of those things.

It's a project by Israeli musician, composer, producer and animator who goes by the name Kuitman. More specifically, it's mashup of unrelated videos from YouTube remixed into a stunning, seven-track, audiovisual masterpiece. I think one commenter had it right when they said that this one project alone justifies the entire existence of YouTube.

Analog Inspiration

I can't stop looking at the kinetic sculptures of bay-area artist, Reuben Margolin. They're absolutely mesmerizing. It's interesting to think about how difficult it is to represent water with complex 3D modeling software and yet this guy does it with cardboard and string.
